HP Space's Official Blogger: Mo the Mingler

Hi, I'm Mo (short for Mortimer Owen Lang).

Apart from declaring that I'm a Reality TV Junkie (and proud of it!), I guess the next best thing to highlight my candidacy for HP Space's Official Blogger is to casually mention...

I'm a crowd-pleaser and I get on exceptionally well with everyone. In fact, I'm a brilliant team player and am a ball of fun to hang out with.

I love listening to stories and asking the right questions to get someone's side of the picture - even if it means making myself look silly to help someone else feel comfortable talking. For example, let's say I meet you and you're a bit shy, I'll go
"at least you're not called 'MO'! With that kind of name, you're always getting comments like - 'MO'? as in HO-MO? or Ang-MO-Kio? or MOMO or MO-Ped or MOMA or MOmentary lapse in judgement.... I've heard it all. And believe me when I say that there is nothing you can say that'll make you more embarrassed than I am right at this very minute."
And if you pick me, as a bonus, I'll even throw in my version of this "perfect italiano" ad (this'll crack you up):

I speak my mind and provide a unique perspective on things. And having worked in government, I've got a sensible head on my shoulder. But not too sensible... did I not mention fun, fun, fun?

And I deeply enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds.

I'm great with details and enjoy crafting visually-arresting blog posts. It just makes voyeurism way easier... popcorn anyone?

I take it you like to look too.

Sight for sore eyes?

And, I'm kinda arty-farty - having been trained as an architect, working in the design field, and starving as an aspiring artist. Some of my art:

My "Saucy Margaret" (Margaret Thatcher) piece.

I love being close to the limelight - I'm drawn like a moth to a flame (or, well, like a clump of hair circling the drain)

I've worked with STV 12 in the past and have been in front and behind the camera. Ask me for more details.

And I'm bilingual (got an A for Chinese at O'Levels - click through for a sample of my writing).
To here me mumble out the above:
